Submucosa.
Contains loose connective tissue, glands, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and nerves. This is where absorbed materials are carried away.
Muscular Layer.
Two coats of muscle tissue:
Inner layer- Causes the tube to constrict.
Outer layer- Causes the tubes to shorten when contracted.
Inner layer- Causes the tube to constrict.
Outer layer- Causes the tubes to shorten when contracted.
Serous Layer.
Outer coating secretes a fluid the lubricates the tube so it can move freely within the abdominal cavity.
