Cardiac Sphincter- Muscle which is a valve that controls the superior opening to the stomach.

Rugae- Thick folds in the stomach that allow for expansion.

~Inner lining of the stomach is covered with many small openings called gastric pits.
~Out of the gastric pits secretes a fluid calles gastric juice which contains digestive enzmes, hydrochloric acid, and mucous.
